Famous Inventor/Engineer Doug Malewicki was the designer and engineer of Evel Knievel's Steam Rocket Powered X-1 SkyCycle Snake River Canyon Jumping Motorcycle.
Doug is shown in the picture below shaking hands with Evel at the machine's unveiling at the Twin Falls, Idaho Snake River canyon jump site on May 6, 1972.
Wearing sunglasses is Facundo Campoy, one of Truax's partners.
On the left is Robert Truax who invented and holds the patents on Steam Rocket Engines.
Robert Truax also built both of Evel Knievel's X-2 SkyCycle Steam Rockets.
35.5 years later on Friday January 11, 2008, the two great Historic figures and old Friends are pictured at the Bob Hope Memorial located next to the Midway Aircraft Carrier museum in San Diego along with Scott Truax and Michael "Mad Mike" Hughes.
